<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Job Summary</strong><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Manager, Accounting and Finance</strong> to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient accounting processes while supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to drive financial performance in a dynamic business environment.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><strong>Accounting & Financial Reporting</strong><ul><li><p>Oversee all accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and tax compliance (HST, corporate tax, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in compliance with <strong>Canadian ASPE/IFRS</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and audit support.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies (CRA, WSIB, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Maintain and strengthen internal controls to mitigate financial risks.</p></li></ul><strong>Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)</strong><ul><li><p>Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business decisions.</p></li><li><p>Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.</p></li><li><p>Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key financial metrics to optimize profitability.</p></li><li><p>Support business growth through cost analysis, pricing strategies, and investment evaluations.</p></li></ul><strong>Team Leadership & Process Improvement</strong><ul><li><p>Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Identify and implement process improvements through automation (e.g., ERP enhancements, RPA).</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with <strong>Ontario employment standards, tax laws, and Canadian financial regulations</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Construction, Property Management, HR) to align financial strategies with business goals.</p></li></ul><strong>Qualifications & Skills</strong><ul><li><p><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; <strong>CPA designation (required)</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Experience:</strong> 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with <strong>2+ years in a managerial role</strong> (Ontario-based experience preferred).</p></li><li><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in <strong>QuickBooks, Sage, Yardi, or other Canadian ERP systems</strong>; advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial modeling).</p></li><li><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong> Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.</p></li></ul><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>Ily9tcnEV3</p></p></p>
