<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>A market leader in the automation industry is looking for a Automation <span >Technician/Mechanic</span> in the GTA. The Light/Heavy Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing and diagnosing of <span >electrical/hydraulic/diesel</span> construction equipment for repair. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing company with career advancement, training & development with competitive wages plus a bonus opportunity. Uniform and boots allowance will also be provided.</p><p><br /></p><p>As a key member of the Mechanic Team, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</p><p> </p><p>·     Performing Hazard Assessments</p><p>·     Hoisting & Rigging</p><p>·     Providing maintenance support to a continuous process manufacturing plant</p><p>·     Performing a range of maintenance functions from simple repairs to complex equipment rebuilds</p><p>·     Mentoring junior technicians as they perform maintenance</p><p>·     Performing root cause failure analysis</p><p>·     Taking initiative to identify, maintain, and repair equipment issues</p><p>·     Troubleshooting & problem solving</p><p>·     Complete work in a timely manner to meet production commitments</p><p> </p><p>Your work history should include experience with most, if not all of the following types of equipment:</p><p> </p><p>·     Pneumatics</p><p>·     Conveying systems</p><p>·     Air compressors</p><p>·     Natural gas systems</p><p>·     Hydraulics</p><p>·     Dust collectors</p><p>·     High volume fans</p><p>·     Pumps</p><p>·     Piping</p><p>·     Rigging</p><p>·     Power transmission (motors, gearboxes, etc..)</p><p>·     <span >Welding/fabricating</span></p><p>·     Industrial controls</p><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p> </p><p>·     3yrs+ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment</p><p>·     Strong working knowledge on safe work practices (such as lock-tag-try, fall protection, and hazard assessments)</p><p>·     Strong interpersonal and communication skills</p><p>·     Ability to work with minimal supervision independently or in a group</p><p>·     Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel</p><p> </p><p><strong>About Us:</strong></p><p> </p><p>JP Recruitment specialize in technical roles in the engineering & manufacturing industry across Ontario. For a listing of more jobs, visit <span >www.jprecruitment.ca/careers.</span> #careers #jobs #skilledtrades #jprecruitment</p><p><br /></p></p></p>
