The Surveyor should be a flexible, detail-oriented individual that will thrive performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with the ability to multi-task, produce quality deliverables, and meet project-based deadlines.</p><p>This position will share time worked between the Burlington, Ontario office, and on-site at designated project site(s) within the greater Toronto area.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform field layout and verification using innovative technologies at project jobsites.</li><li>Study and analyze construction drawings and shop drawings to confirm layout dimensions and elevations.</li><li>Observe and comply with all safety and project policies.</li><li>Inform Superintendent of any variations and assist personnel with layout understanding.</li><li>Prepare documentation of surveying activities.</li><li>Survey, verify and mark actual lines and elevations using various instruments.</li><li>Verify as-built conditions and provide topographic and cross-section surveys.</li><li>Lead the survey crew and train junior surveyors.</li><li>Serve as an ambassador for efforts and services <span >internally/externally.</span></li><li>Ability to travel and work flexible hours due to project constraints.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5+ years relevant construction experience in layout and/or surveying</li><li>Preferred experience with robotic total stations, GPS instruments, and other surveying tools.</li><li>Thorough understanding of surveying calculations and techniques.</li><li>Associate’s degree or coursework in construction management, engineering, or architecture a plus.</li><li>ICI construction experience preferred.</li><li>Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office, and VDC technologies a plus.</li><li>Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) experience a plus.</li><li>Ability to lift/carry equipment (10–30 pounds) and work on feet in construction environments.</li><li>Excellent mathematical and communication skills.</li></ul><p></p><p><em>Alberici is a North American company with multiple Operating Companies:</em></p><p><em>Alberici Constructors, Inc., Alberici Constructors, LTD., Alberici Construcciones, BRC, CAS Constructors, Filanc, Flintco, Hillsdale Fabricators, Kienlen Constructors, and WWPS</em></p></p></p>
