If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you. </p><p>The Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC equipment, compressors, chillers, and gas appliances. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and monitoring the Energy Management Control System (E.M.C.S.). We kindly ask applicants to refrain from reaching out for status updates.</strong><br /></p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Start-up and shut-down of building equipment and machinery</li><li>Replace filters (all applicable types)</li><li>Inspect and replace machinery belts</li><li>Align pumps and couplings</li><li>Perform maintenance and alignment of fans and air handling units</li><li>Maintain compressors, including filters and dryers</li><li>Conduct general mechanical maintenance tasks</li><li>Maintain and service gas appliances up to 680,000 BTU</li><li>Perform standby duty as needed</li><li>Operate and maintain chillers, heat pumps, air conditioners, air handling units, and cooling towers</li><li>Conduct air balancing</li><li>Monitor and maintain the Energy Management Control System (E.M.C.S.)</li></ul><p></p><ul></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li> Communicates Effectively </li><li> Continuous Learning</li><li> Holds Self and Others Accountable</li><li> Problem Solving and Innovation </li><li> Teamwork and Collaboration</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>Degree or Diploma in:</p><ul><li> High School Diploma or Equivalent</li><li> HVAC Systems</li></ul><p>The following <span >certifications/designations</span> are considered a requirement: </p><ul><li> Gas Fitter (G1)</li><ul><li>Refrigeration 313A considered an asset<br /></li></ul></ul><p><strong>WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li> 3 years of HVAC experience in a commercial setting</li><li><span >Utilities/Construction/FMO/Service/Projects/Mechanical</span> & Electrical</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS </strong></p><p>Proficient knowledge and understanding of:</p><ul><li> Blue print reading </li><li> Organization and time management</li></ul><p>Proficient user of: <br /></p><ul><li> DSI platform</li><li> Must have a valid G driver&#39;s license</li><li> Must be have or be able to receive and maintain a Level II security clearance with the Government of Canada.</li></ul><p>ECRA/ESA Licence # 7016418</p><p>Due to many mandatory vaccination requirements at client projects / facilities, in order to provide substantial employment by ensuring compliance with our clients&#39; mandates, the successful candidate may be required to validate full vaccination prior to hire.<br><br>Canadian Base Operators welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
