<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support our team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in accounting processes and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities</b><ul><li>Assisting managers and senior accountants in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closings</li><li>Recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers</li><li>Performing accounts payable, processing invoices, monthly payments, preparation of check run, expense reports and bank reconciliations</li><li>Processing financial entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions</li><li>Assisting in financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements as per the company’s legal, financial, and accounting guidelines</li><li>Provide support for internal audits by organizing documentation and responding to basic inquiries</li><li>Assist with tax filings, such as HST/GST returns, under supervision</li><li>Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and maintain accurate records.</li></ul><br /><b>Qualifications & Skills:</b><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates are welcome to apply); OR 1-2 years of entry-level accounting experience </li><li>Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting</li><li>Experience in construction or development industry will be a plus</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software will be a plus (Yardi Voyager is an asset).</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.</li></ul><br /><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b><ul><li>Enrollment in Ontario CPA program or equivalent certification in progress.</li><li>Experience with basic financial analysis or multi-entity reporting.</li><li>Knowledge of tax compliance basics.</li></ul><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>llYZupEbjg</p></p></p>
