This role involves leading a team of crane technicians, coordinating projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing technical expertise to resolve complex issues, acting as a coach and mentor for technicians by providing onsite, hands-on training.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>ADVANTAGES</strong></p><ul><li>Great starting pay of $55-$58/hour</li><li>Day shift Monday to Friday </li><li>Permanent position based out of Oakville or travelling through the surrounding region</li><li>Fantastic team of people that you get to work with</li><li>Great benefits- RRSP matching, medical, and dental</li><li>Tool and safety boot allowance</li><li>Company events, great culture, and working conditions</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Coach and mentor crane technicians through onsite, hands-on training.</li><li>Provide expert support during complex troubleshooting and repairs.</li><li>Perform crane service tasks on-site, including emergency on-call duties.</li><li>Help assign technicians to jobs based on skills and workload.</li><li>Monitor job progress and coordinate with management to meet budget and timeline goals.</li><li>Take part in regular 1:1 meetings with the Service Manager.</li><li>Support team motivation and assist with disciplinary actions when needed.</li><li>Build and maintain strong customer relationships.</li><li>Support sales by helping estimators with quotes and inspection follow-ups.</li><li>Conduct site visits to gather details for project quotes.</li><li>Follow up with customers for Purchase Orders and create work orders.</li><li>Provide clear scopes of work for technicians and clients.</li><li>Stay informed on industry trends and best practices.</li><li>Help develop standardized service procedures.</li><li>Enforce health and safety regulations and company policies.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.</li><li>Practice and promote proper ergonomics and safe equipment use.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role</li><li>Previous experience with overhead (O/H) cranes is required</li><li>Strong technical expertise in crane systems and equipment</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure</li><li>Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office</li><li>Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate teams effectively</li><li>Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills for working with customers and internal teams</li><li>Willingness to travel for on-site service visits and inspections</li><li>Available for emergency service calls outside of regular hours</li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>#INDSTRIVEON</strong></p><p><strong>#LI-SR</strong></p><p><br /></p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
