<p><h3>Controller – Financial & Registration Services</h3><p>Full-Time, Continuing Position</p>
<h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3>
<p>Reporting to the Director of Financial & Registration Services, the Controller plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all accounting operations and financial reporting functions, including comprehensive management of core accounting areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting and supervision of the accounting staff, along with coordination of audit activities and the preparation of financial statements. The Controller provides strategic direction, particularly in system upgrades and automation initiatives designed to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. In addition to these responsibilities, the role involves preparing multi-entity financial statements, serving as liaison with external auditors, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, and performing other relevant duties as assigned.</p>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<p>To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a CPA designation, a post‑secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline, along with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role as well as a minimum of three (3) years’ supervisory experience overseeing accounting functions. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience within a post‑secondary environment is preferred.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and support staff effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders. The role requires a high level of organizational ability, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills. Candidates should also be adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.</p>
<h3>Salary</h3>
<p>Managers & Professional Officers MPO -VI, $101,175.00 – $128,018.00</p>
