With a diverse fleet of a Boeing 737 FIRELINER™, Citation and King Air Command / Control aircraft, CH47D Chinooks, UH-60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters we operate a high paced year round operation.</p><p>In addition to the operation, Coulson Aviation Australia also manage all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management.</p><p>For more information about Coulson Aviation Australia visit www.coulsonaviation.com.au</p><p>Coulson Aviation - https : / / www.youtube.com / watch?v=MFCQm3EFhnM</p><h3>Position</h3><p>WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :</p><p>We are currently recruiting Bell 412 Pilots to be part of our team.</p><p>The chosen candidate will work in a team environment conducting aerial firefighting and flood response, crew / equipment transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, disaster mitigation and related operations in support of emergency services. They must have a strong focus on safety and customer service.</p><p>The role requires flexibility and working away from home base at short notice and offers competitive salary and an emphasis on work / life balance on offer.</p><h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Act as Pilot in Command of Bell 412EP helicopter in Firefighting operations both day and night and other missions as required by the company</li><li>Conduct both air transport and aerial work operations such as Aerial Fire Suppression, Dispensing operations, External load, winching personnel, Intel, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Search and Rescue and any other task specialist operations in support of Emergency Service Organizations both during day and night as required.</li><li>Be able to work on a roster away from home base for extended periods at a time</li><li>Devote time to group or self-study of aircraft systems, EP’s, etc. and be available for training and check-flights as required by Coulson Aviation Australia.</li><li>Maintain written and computerized flight logs and records.</li><li>Ensure all flights, operations and other work follow CASA Regulations, Company Manuals, policies and client SOP’s and are achieved safely, effectively and efficiently.</li><li>Maintains self and helicopter in a constant state of readiness for dispatch to emergency and non-emergency operations; or to any other assigned locations as required by the company at short notice.</li><li>Perform any other duties during schedule shift as requested by Director of Operations or Head of Flying Operations.</li></ul><h3>Experience Requirements</h3><ul><li>Australian CPL(H)</li><li>3000 hrs. Rotary Experience</li><li>Australian Class 1 Medical</li><li>HUET</li><li>CRM</li><li>Dangerous Goods Awareness</li><li>Low Level Firefighting rating</li><li>Low Level Sling Load Rating</li><li>Low Level Winch Rating</li><li>Minimum 3 year and 500 hours experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations.</li><li>Minimum 3 year and 500 hours background in Part 138 Aerial work operations including firefighting and / or external load operations</li><li>The right to live and work in Australia</li></ul><h3>Desirable Qualifications / Experience</h3><ul><li>NVFR Rating</li><li>NVIS Rating</li><li>Multi Engine Instrument Rating</li></ul><p>To apply please submit a detailed cover letter highlighting your experience and knowledge of aerial firefighting, how you meet the required experience and why you would be suitable for the position.
