This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic leadership team in a company poised for future growth. You’ll lead the financial function across multiple entities, streamline processes, and ensure we have strong financial controls and insights to drive decision-making.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br /><ul><li><strong>Lead Financial Operations Across All Brands</strong> Centralize and oversee all financial activities across three business entities, ensuring alignment and efficiency in accounting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.</li><li><strong>Budgeting & Forecasting Leadership</strong></li></ul> Lead the annual budgeting process across all entities, aligning departmental budgets with strategic goals.<strong> </strong>Drive rolling forecasts and scenario planning to anticipate business needs and risks<br /><ul><li><strong>Ensure Accurate, Timely Reporting</strong> Deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end financials, including consolidated reports and individual entity performance. Customize reporting to meet operational and executive needs.</li><li><strong>Manage Cash Flow and Working Capital</strong> Monitor cash daily, manage intercompany transfers, and ensure adequate liquidity to support projects and supplier obligations.</li><li><strong>Drive Job Costing & Project Profitability</strong> Analyze project-level profitability, track budget vs. actuals, and collaborate with operations to identify cost savings and margin improvements.</li><li><strong>Capital Planning and Financing</strong></li></ul> Evaluate and manage financing options for equipment, real estate, or business expansion. Lead capital structure planning and liaise with lenders for credit facilities or refinancing needs.<br /><ul><li><strong>Implement Strong Financial Controls</strong> Establish internal controls to mitigate risk, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy—particularly in procurement, payables, and intercompany transactions.</li><li><strong>Serve as Liaison to External Stakeholders</strong> Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and tax advisors; manage annual audits, oversee tax compliance, and support financing needs.</li><li><strong>Provide Strategic Financial Guidance</strong> Partner with leadership to support business planning, financial modeling, and ROI analysis on major capital investments and growth opportunities.</li><li><strong>Develop and Lead the Finance Team</strong> Mentor and build a high-performing finance and accounting team that can scale with the company. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and care. Play a key role in preserving the company’s family-centric values while leading change and growth initiatives. Help shape company culture through leadership presence, employee engagement, and transparent communication.</li><li><strong>KPI Development and Business Insights</strong></li></ul> Define and monitor key financial and operational KPIs.<br /> Provide dashboards and insights that empower the leadership team to make data-driven decisions.<br><br><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong><br /><ul><li><strong>Experience:</strong> 10+ years in senior finance roles with experience in construction, design-build, or project-based industries. Multi-entity experience is an asset.</li><li><strong>Leadership:</strong> Proven experience leading teams and building scalable finance operations. Ability to navigate both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.</li><li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong> Strong command of job costing, project accounting, financial modeling, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting. </li><li><strong>Cultural Fit:</strong> A values-driven leader who appreciates the importance of relationships, collaboration, and contributing to a positive, people-first workplace.</li><li><strong>Systems Savvy:</strong> Comfortable implementing or enhancing ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools.
