Under President & CEO <strong>Brian Mielko</strong>, the company continues to expand, with revenues exceeding <strong>$400M</strong>.</p>POSITION SUMMARY<p>OK Tire is seeking a <strong>VP, Business Development</strong> to accelerate franchise growth, strengthen supplier partnerships, and scale commercial programs that create long-term value for dealer-owners.</p><p>The role requires a proven leader in <strong>franchise/dealer development</strong>, supplier engagement, and field team management—ideally within <strong>tires, automotive aftermarket, or related B2B services</strong>. Candidates may have served as a VP Business Development, National Sales Director, or GM. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape one of Canada’s most respected automotive brands during a phase of national transformation.</p>SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li><strong>Franchise Program Alignment</strong> – Promote adoption of corporate tire supply agreements; ensure availability, pricing, and terms align with dealer needs. Build trust, resolve barriers, and strengthen supplier partnerships.</li><li><strong>Franchise Growth & Expansion</strong> – Lead the network’s growth from 325 toward 400–500 locations. Oversee market analysis, lead generation, evaluation, onboarding, and integration of new dealers.</li><li><strong>Team Leadership</strong> – Direct a team of 10 BDMs and Franchise Development Specialists. Set KPIs, drive consistency with SOPs, and foster a culture of accountability, training, and continuous improvement.</li><li><strong>Product & Program Development</strong> – Expand beyond tires into services, accessories, warranties, and other dealer-enabling products. Collaborate with BI, Finance, and Marketing to design, launch, and optimize programs.</li><li><strong>Customer Expansion</strong> – Develop national and regional fleet relationships. Highlight OK Tire’s service footprint, consistency, and cost-per-mile advantages. Build long-term partnerships with fleets.</li><li><strong>Supplier & Partnership Strategy</strong> – Strengthen existing supplier relationships, negotiate favorable terms, secure co-marketing, and identify new partners to fill gaps and differentiate OK Tire’s offering.</li></ul>PERFORMANCE MEASURES<ul><li><strong>Dealer Program Participation</strong> – % of purchases through approved sourcing partners; target 85% compliance.</li><li><strong>Franchise Growth & Economics</strong> – Net new stores, franchise revenue growth, retention, and time-to-close.</li><li><strong>BDM Team Effectiveness</strong> – Achievement of KPIs, SOP adoption, productivity benchmarks, retention.</li><li><strong>Supplier & Program Development</strong> – New partnerships, margin contribution, adoption rates, satisfaction.</li><li><strong>Fleet Expansion</strong> – New fleet relationships and revenue contribution from this segment.</li></ul>STAFF & RESOURCES<p>Leads a team of <strong>10 Business Development Managers and Franchise Specialists</strong> who support dealers nationwide. Travel ~50% nationwide; limited time required at HQ in Surrey, BC.</p>CANDIDATE PROFILE<p><strong>Experience Base</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Tire/Automotive Aftermarket</strong> – Strong knowledge of product lines, service models, and supplier programs. Fleet, agriculture, mining, or logistics exposure a plus.</li><li><strong>Franchise/Dealer Development</strong> – Track record in recruiting, onboarding, and scaling distributed networks. Balance national strategy with dealer autonomy.</li><li><strong>Supplier & Program Development</strong> – Skilled in negotiating rebates, pricing, co-marketing, and program design for independent networks.</li><li><strong>Team Leadership</strong> – Experience leading dispersed BDM/Territory teams, setting SOPs, KPIs, and performance routines.
