<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Reporting to the Manager, Hydrology and Hydraulics Risk Operations, the Intern will be a member of the Generation Asset Management Risk Operations team, whose mission is to evaluate, monitor and improve performance of renewable energy assets (wind, solar, batteries and hydro) to protect and enhance revenues while ensuring compliance with best industry practices, internal policies, regulations and laws safeguard the organization by identifying, analyzing, and managing financial, credit, market, and operational risks while supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring robust governance across all trading activities.</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Who we are:</strong></strong></p><p>Brookfield Renewable is one of the core businesses under Brookfield Corporation (“Brookfield”), one of the world’s leading alternative asset managers. Our portfolio of hydropower, wind, utility-scale solar, distributed generation, and storage assets extends across North America, South America, Europe, India, and China, totaling almost 33,000 megawatts of capacity, and over 7,000 generating facilities globally.</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>You’ll want to join our team for:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>The competitive salary</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth</li><li>Our new LEED-certified office building located near vieux-hull’s vibrant restaurant scene</li><li>The on-site gym & bike storage room</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Optimize tools and processes to improve insurance reviews, claims tracking, and policy renewal collaboration</li><li>Assist with providing training to internal teams.</li><li>Support and collaborate with stakeholders across various operating teams to collect insurance data.</li><li>Assist in obtaining, editing, and providing proof of insurance to internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate with and support our in-house teams and service providers.</li><li>Review and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders including analysis of data, policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Review insurance clauses in contracts to accurately transcribe key data into structured tracking tools for data retention and analysis.</li><li>Conduct research into existing insurance obligations and trends.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>What you must have:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Registration as a full-time student;</li><li>Completion at least the second year of university studies in Business Administration or related discipline;</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>You should apply if you:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrate strong organizational skills and highly diligent in the review and evaluation of information;</li><li>Bring forth a systematic approach to problem solving and exhibits the aptitude to take initiatives;</li><li>Are comfortable managing multiple priorities and able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team;</li><li>Are highly proficient with the complete MS Office suite, particularly SharePoint</li><li>Demonstrated and proven project management or coordination skills.</li><li>Demonstrated and prove ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.</li><li>Knowledge of insurance and/or renewable energy facilities operations is an asset.</li></ul><p> </p><p><em><em>Brookfield Renewable embraces and promotes the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
