<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><br /><p><b>Job Summary</b></p><p>The Shift Stationary Engineer is responsible for ensuring Client facilities operate efficiently and reliably while maintaining full compliance with all applicable codes, safety standards, and cGMP regulations. This role plays a critical part in reducing or eliminating unscheduled production shutdowns by providing effective maintenance and troubleshooting across industrial processes and research equipment.</p><p><br /></p><p>The ideal candidate will perform maintenance with a strong focus on quality and safety, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and contributing to optimal equipment performance and reliability.</p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ol><li>Perform corrective and predictive maintenance on industrial process and research equipment within a production environment.</li><li>Troubleshoot and perform diagnostic repairs on equipment and systems.</li><li>Manage operations for all utility services, including the purified water system and tank farm, while maintaining logs required for power boiler permits.</li><li>Provide rapid, innovative solutions to resolve equipment and process malfunctions.</li><li>Perform calibration and maintenance tasks on equipment and utilities; log completion in the Blue Mountain maintenance software.</li><li>Assist in the commissioning and qualification of new equipment and utility systems.</li><li>Write and revise preventive maintenance documentation for equipment and utility systems.</li><li>Ensure all work adheres to Client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health and Safety Policy, and applicable regulations.</li><li>Work rotating shifts and remain on-call as required.</li><li>Promote and ensure a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor based on operational needs.</li></ol><p><br /></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ol><li>Forth Class Stationary Engineer's License required.</li><li>Diploma in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent is considered an asset.</li><li><br /></li></ol><p><b>Experienc</b>e:</p><ol><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility involving the operation, maintenance, and repair of complex building and utility systems.</li></ol><p><br /></p><p><b>Skills:</b></p><ol><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on equipment maintenance.</li><li>Familiarity with cGMP environments and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Proficiency in maintenance management systems (e.g., Blue Mountain).</li><li>Strong administrative and computer skills for documentation and reporting.</li></ol><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ol><li>Additional experience in commissioning and qualification of process and utility equipment.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of preventive maintenance planning and documentation.</li><li>Previous work in a highly regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals or biotechnology.</li><li><br /></li></ol><p><b>Certifications</b></p><ol><li>Forth Class Stationary Engineer’s License (Required).</li></ol><br /></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
