Job Description
<p><p><b>Location:</b> Flexible across British Columbia (Langley, Victoria, Burnaby, or Nanaimo preferred; other BC locations considered with travel to offices as required)</p><h3>Overview</h3>
<p>We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support municipal water and wastewater projects across British Columbia. This role will focus on process-mechanical systems for treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, and related infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, project management, and mentorship while working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technologists, and project managers.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage projects of varying size and complexity, including budgets, schedules, and client relationships.</li>
<li>Oversee the design of water and wastewater systems, including preparation of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, specifications, and reports.</li>
<li>Provide guidance, reviews, and quality control for deliverables prepared by other team members.</li>
<li>Support construction administration, including field reviews, commissioning, and responding to technical inquiries.</li>
<li>Contribute to proposals, business development activities, and client relationship management.</li>
<li>Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and coordinate design staff to deliver high-quality project outcomes.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>P.Eng. designation (or eligible for registration in BC).</li>
<li>5–10 years of experience in mechanical and process design for water and wastewater infrastructure.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of BC design standards and construction practices.</li>
<li>Proven experience leading multidisciplinary projects and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Assets</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience with alternative project delivery methods.</li>
<li>Familiarity with design collaboration tools (e.g., ACC, Navisworks, Bluebeam).</li>
<li>Knowledge of water/wastewater standards in Alberta and Saskatchewan.</li>
</ul>
