<p><p>Join to apply for the Senior Manager / Executive Director, Financial Crimes role at KPMG Canada</p><h3>Overview</h3><p>At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.</p><p>To support its growth, the Financial Crimes practice is seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Executive Director to lead business development and deliver complex projects. The role is open to candidates across Canada.</p><p>You will work with clients to identify, manage, and mitigate exposure to financial crimes, including</p><ul><li>Anti-money laundering and terrorist financing</li><li>Economic sanctions</li><li>Anti-tax evasion</li></ul><p>You will play a strategic role in developing and managing a major national banking account while leading complex financial crime projects. This role combines commercial leadership, sector expertise, and multidisciplinary team management.</p><h3>What You Will Do</h3><h3>Business Development & Account Management (60%)</h3><ul><li>Develop and execute a growth strategy for a major national banking account.</li><li>Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers (C-suite, compliance, risk, internal audit).</li><li>Anticipate client needs in financial crime, regulatory compliance, risk management, and related technologies.</li><li>Prepare and present value propositions, executive presentations, and integrated solutions.</li><li>Collaborate with sector (banking, insurance, financial markets) and cross-functional teams (tech, audit, tax, forensic).</li><li>Meet and exceed revenue and margin targets.</li></ul><h3>Delivery & Leadership (40%)</h3><ul><li>Lead planning, execution, and oversight of complex financial crime projects.</li><li>Mobilize and mentor multidisciplinary teams (compliance, data analytics, forensic, tech).</li><li>Ensure quality and compliance of deliverables.</li><li>Act as strategic advisor during crises, investigations, or transformations.</li><li>Coach and develop team talent.</li></ul><h3>What You Bring To The Role</h3><ul><li>10-15 years of experience in financial crime.</li><li>Consulting experience is an asset.</li><li>Bachelor’s in accounting, criminology, finance, business, or related field.</li><li>Master’s or graduate diploma in financial crime is an asset.</li><li>Certifications (CAMS, CFE, ACFCS, CSS) are assets.</li><li>Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and best practices in AML, anti-corruption, tax evasion, and sanctions.</li><li>Proven experience in strategic account management and business development in banking / finance.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, influence, and negotiation skills.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication in English (French is an asset).</li><li>Ability to produce concise, structured presentations and reports.</li><li>Knowledge of market technologies for AML risk monitoring.</li><li>Understanding of banking, insurance, asset management products / services.</li><li>Client-oriented with solution-driven mindset.</li><li>Teamwork, coaching, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Ability to perform under pressure and manage projects, resources, and budgets.</li><li>Autonomous, proactive, and detail-oriented.</li><li>Proficient in Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.</li></ul><h3>Providing you with the support you need to be at your best</h3><p>For more information about KPMG in Canada’s Benefits and well-being, click here.</p><h3>Our Values, The KPMG Way</h3><p>Integrity, we do what is right | Excellence, we never stop learning and improving | Courage, we think and act boldly | Together, we respect each other and draw strength from our differences | For Better, we do what matters.</p><p>KPMG in Canada is a proud equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and barrier-free workplace that allows all of our people to reach their full potential.
