<p>Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for their Labour Law group. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and team-centred legal department, providing crucial support in labour law matters. Based in Mississauga, this full-time role offers the chance to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive legal team, contributing significantly to cross-functional initiatives through the provision of legal and business advice.</p><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Union Relations and Grievance Management: </strong>Act as the liaison with unions, handle employee grievances, and mediate conflicts.</li><li><strong>Certification and Bargaining Units: </strong>Manage union certification applications and define bargaining units.</li><li><strong>Collective Bargaining: </strong>Lead negotiations, draft agreements, and ensure compliance with labor laws.</li><li><strong>Training and Compliance: </strong>Conduct training on labor relations, ensure legal compliance, and update policies.</li><li><strong>Dispute Resolution and Advisory: </strong>Participate in dispute resolution processes and advise management on labor issues.</li></ul><p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 8 years of labour law experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal department</li><li>Membership in good standing with the Ontario Law Society</li><li>Excellent drafting and negotiation skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize competing demands effectively</li><li>Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills</li></ul><p><strong>What's next:</strong></p><p>Ready for an exciting new challenge?
