<p>Description</p><p><b>SENIOR ESTIMATOR</b></p><p>Nahanni Construction Ltd. is a northern leader in remote and cold-weather construction with over 30 years of experience delivering successful industrial, commercial, and remediation projects across Canada. Headquarters in Yellowknife, NT, we specialize in turn-key construction solutions and are proud of our safety-first culture and collaborative team.</p><p>We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator based in the Northwest Territories or Alberta to support our continued growth. This role will play a key part in our estimating team, preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil, remediation, and infrastructure projects—both large and small.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>Prepare detailed estimates for lump sum, unit price, and cost-plus projects, from concept through to final bid.</li><li>Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and related technical documents.</li><li>Lead and coordinate quantity take-offs, subcontractor / supplier pricing, and bid submissions.</li><li>Identify risk factors and collaborate with operations, safety, and project management teams.</li><li>Participate in tender review meetings and presentations.</li><li>Maintain estimating tools, databases, and historical cost records.</li><li>Stay current with industry trends, cost fluctuations, and regional market conditions.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><li>8+ years of experience in estimating civil or industrial construction projects (remote or northern project experience is an asset).</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction practices, pricing strategies, and contract formats.</li><li>Proficiency in estimating software, Excel, and project documentation tools.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.</li><li>Effective communication and negotiation skills with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.</li><li>Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.</li><li>Must be based in the Northwest Territories or Alberta with flexibility for periodic travel to project sites and Yellowknife as needed.</li>
