<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Senior Engineering Lead<br /><strong>Location:</strong> Lindsay, Ontario (Onsite with Hybrid/Flexible Schedule Available)<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time, Direct Hire<br /><strong>Salary:</strong> $150,000 – $175,000 CAD annually<br /><strong>Industry:</strong> Aerospace & Defense</p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>Our client, a rapidly growing aerospace company based in <strong>Lindsay, Ontario</strong>, is seeking a <strong>Senior Engineering Lead</strong> to guide the mechanical and structural development of advanced aircraft systems. With an expanding portfolio that supports both <strong>commercial and military</strong> applications, this role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep experience in <strong>aerospace design, composites, and stress analysis</strong>. This is a high-impact position for a seasoned engineer ready to shape the next generation of aerospace technology.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead and grow teams in the <strong>Design</strong> and <strong>Aerostructures</strong> disciplines, including mentoring and technical oversight</p></li><li><p>Architect and develop mechanical systems at both the aircraft and component levels</p></li><li><p>Perform hands-on structural design and analysis for critical systems: fuselage, propulsion mounts, landing gear, and housings</p></li><li><p>Select advanced materials (composites, aluminum alloys, titanium, polymers) based on performance and durability criteria</p></li><li><p>Drive development from concept through prototyping, testing, and release to production</p></li><li><p>Optimize structures for strength, fatigue, stiffness, and thermal performance</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with suppliers to validate materials, fabrication methods, and design constraints</p></li><li><p>Conduct failure investigations and resolve mechanical issues with root cause analysis</p></li><li><p>Support and guide PLM development and configuration management practices</p></li><li><p>Ensure engineering compliance with <strong>TCCA</strong>, <strong>FAA</strong>, and <strong>EASA</strong> certification requirements</p></li><li><p>Help transition the organization from SolidWorks to <strong>CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE</strong> platform</p></li><li><p>Build and implement test infrastructure for structural and system verification</p></li><li><p>Identify and establish external partnerships with research institutions and technology collaborators</p></li><li><p>Promote continuous improvement, training, and process development across engineering disciplines</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field</p></li><li><p>8–10 years of product development experience in the <strong>aerospace industry</strong></p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years in a <strong>senior engineering or engineering leadership</strong> role</p></li><li><p>Advanced proficiency with <strong>SolidWorks</strong>, including <strong>SWX Flow Simulation</strong></p></li><li><p>Experience with <strong>composite structures</strong> and <strong>stress analysis</strong> in aerospace applications</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>CATIA V6</strong> and/or the <strong>3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)</strong> platform</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated success managing full product lifecycles — concept to production</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of regulatory compliance under <strong>TCCA</strong>, <strong>FAA</strong>, or <strong>EASA</strong> frameworks</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience with <strong>eVTOL</strong> or advanced aerospace platforms is an asset</p></li><li><p>Background in PLM systems, prototype development, and flight hardware design</p></li><li><p>Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills</p></li></ul><p><strong>What’s Offered:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Competitive base salary: <strong>$150,000 – $175,000 CAD</strong></p></li><li><p>Generous holiday and paid time off package</p></li><li><p>Group benefits plan and profit-sharing opportunities</p></li><li><p>Flexible hybrid work schedule</p></li><li><p>Work on cutting-edge aerospace technologies in a leadership capacity</p></li></ul><p>If you're a senior-level aerospace engineer ready to take the lead in shaping high-performance aircraft systems, we encourage you to apply and become a key contributor to this exciting and innovative company in <strong>Lindsay, Ontario</strong>.</p><p><strong>Presented by TriMech Staff Augmentation</strong></p><p> TriMech Staff Augmentation is a specialized engineering staffing partner connecting top-tier technical talent with leading organizations.
