<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Senior Accountant Our client, a leading custom steel fabricator in North Bay, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred) and bring 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment with experience in job costing. As a key member of the management team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping operational decisions by providing valuable financial insights, guidance, and strategic input. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. * Manage month-end reconciliations and closing procedures to ensure accurate, timely reporting. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. * Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. * Lead job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition processes; monitor project profitability. * Oversee IT administration for the company’s systems. * Coordinate with external accountants during the annual review engagement. Skills & Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or construction. * Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (job costing, WIP, revenue recognition). * Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; IT background an asset. * Experience with ERP software * Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.</p></p>Create Your Resume First
