We only serve Vancouver Island communities (plus Powell River) and pride ourselves on being a family-run business that serves the communities in which we live.</p><p><br /></p><p>What do we offer?</p><ul><li>$18.00 - $20.50/hour</li><li>Healthy work-life balance</li><li><br />Flexible schedules</li><li><br />Extended health and dental plan</li><li><br />Employees recognition programs and events</li><li><br />Opportunities for advancement</li><li><br />Local and engaged management</li><li><br />Industry training</li><li><br />A commitment to helping our employees succeed</li></ul><p>Required Qualifications and Skills</p><ul><li>Either possess or be able to obtain a BC Security Workers Licence (Ask us!)<br /></li><li>Valid driver&#39;s licence and own vehicle preferred</li><li>Flexible availability for morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts (*Must be available weekends*) </li><li>The ability to interact with people in a compassionate and respectful manner</li><li>A calm demeanor and sound decision-making skills</li><li>Strong observation skills and ability to complete high-quality reports</li><li>Ability to use computers and smartphones with ease</li><li>Physically fit with the ability to stand and walk patrols, climb stairs, etc.</li><li>Ability to follow security procedures set by our clients and Footprints Security<br /></li><li>Must be proficient in the English language (verbal & written)</li></ul><p>Static Security Guard - General Responsibilities</p><ul><li><br />Provide a security presence in various settings (Offices, Malls, Parks, Events, etc...)</li><li><br />Provide exceptional customer service to clients and the public</li><li><br />Ensure client property and personnel are safe and secure, providing security inspections for assigned facilities</li><li><br />Conduct foot patrols, including standing and walking - must be physically fit</li><li><br />Interact with a wide range of people in varied environments</li><li><br />Compassionately and respectfully enforce private property laws</li><li><br />Observe, record, and report activities and security incidents while on shift</li></ul><p></p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p></p></p>
