This role involves responding to a wide range of security-related and life safety incidents and emergencies. A succeful candidate with be able to conduct patrols for long periods of time, climb stairs and work outside in the elements.<br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES :<br /> Access Control: Provide access control where applicable, to include managing access for<br />contractors and delivery personnel.<br><br> Patrols: Conduct general as well as focused patrols (interior and exterior) looking for hazards,<br />building deficiencies, insecure premises, criminal or prohibited activity, suspicious persons,<br />suspicious activities, items, or vehicles.<br><br> Emergency Response: Respond to a varied array of “calls for service" as well as provide first<br />responder services for all security and life safety emergencies and incidents.<br><br> Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are<br />captured for future reference and analysis.<br><br> Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email<br />correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.<br><br> Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to security<br />across all operations.<br><br> Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other<br />relevant documentation for compliance and review.<br><br> Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control<br />systems to detect and prevent security breaches.<br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS :<br /> Experience in critical environments where decision making, and actions can impact life-safety<br />and business continuity.<br /> Excellent administrative and computer skills are a must, including proficiency in Microsoft Office<br />and security management software.<br /> Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.<br /> 2-3 years of experience working in corporate security.<br /> Must have a valid Provincial Security License.<br /> Must be at least 18 years old.<br /> High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.<br /> Must be eligible to work in Canada <br /> Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.<br /> First Aid and CPR<br /> <br />Benefits:<br /> Opportunities for career growth and advancement.<br /> Paid training and development programs.<br /> <br />Disclaimer:<br />As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates being considered for employment with Allied<br />Universal are required to undergo a background check.
