<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>A Reliability Engineer identifies and manages asset reliability risk throughout the lifecycle of a product. This is a strategic role that is involved in the planning, designing and developing of maintenance programs. Loss elimination, risk management, and lifecycle asset management are the 3 main areas of focus for most Reliability Engineers. Reliability Engineers work extensively in plants and refineries, but can be found in other areas of the industry as well. Provide general reliability guidance and expertise.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Achieve asset mechanical reliability objectives and assist in meeting asset capability objectives.</li><li>Participate in the implementation of the Incident Investigation process.</li><li>Determine proper work process to address reliability opportunities.</li><li>Follow through with the appropriate parties to ensure effective hand-off.</li><li>Evaluate the impact projects will have on ability to meet business needs.</li><li>Use reliability engineering principles and tools to improve asset capability and asset mechanical reliability and long-term cost of ownership of the facility.</li><li>Provide technical support for plant reliability improvement.</li><li>Competently perform on routine applications of skills.</li><li>Anticipate and solve problems by integrating knowledge from a number of areas.</li><li>Take responsibility for own projects.</li><li>Represent the local workgroup internally and on occasion, externally.</li></ul><h3>Skills and qualifications</h3><ul><li>10+ years’ of closely related professional experience</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within discipline</li><li>Able to provide assistance to more senior engineers</li><li>Able to work independently in most situations</li><li>Has applicable industry experience with more than one client company or with industry associations / professional societies</li><li>Takes technical initiative, and is able to learn quickly and apply knowledge to technical success</li><li>Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools</li></ul><h3>Seniority level</h3><ul><li>Mid-Senior level</li></ul><h3>Employment type</h3><ul><li>Contract</li></ul><h3>Job function</h3><ul><li>Industries : Oil and Gas</li></ul></p>
