If you are a hands-on, customer service-oriented, and technically inclined professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Refrigeration Technician position is located in Yorkton, SK and will report directly to the Service Supervisor.</p><p>We&#39;re looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of refrigeration/HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise. If you&#39;re a self-starter with a positive attitude and a dedication to providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!</p><p>B&M is committed continuous improvement and will endeavor to provide all training necessary to maintain the health and safety of our staff and support career development wherever possible.</p><p>We are primarily an HVAC company but do work on chillers and smaller refrigeration systems</p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain customers&#39; refrigeration systems.</li><li>Work on RTUs and hvac systems</li><li>Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves.</li><li>Perform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.</li><li>Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting.</li><li>Maintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records.</li><li>Research and resolve complex system problems.</li><li>Complete assigned paperwork and forms</li><li>Conduct safety inspections, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations are followed.</li></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Communicates Effectively</li><li>Continuous Learning</li><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Problem Solving and Innovation</li><li>Values and Respects Others</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li><li>Previous experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration technician.</li><li>HVAC certification.</li><li>Braising and soldering skills.</li><li>Knowledge of local building codes.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.</li><li>Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.</li><li>Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Clean Class 5 SK Driver&#39;s License and abstract</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.</li><li>Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor with fellow employees, customers, and stakeholders.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and mobile device applications</li></ul><p>Please be advised that a Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required as part of our employment screening and selection process.<br><br>We welcome and encourage applications from persons with disabilities.
