<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>The production designer performs some or all the following duties:</p><ul><li><ul><li>Complete technical information on drawings;</li><li>Ensures that graphic standards and client specifications have been followed, such as vinyl and paint colors, etc.;</li><li>Produce the electrical plan of the sign;</li><li>Designs the illumination and produces the diagram for the position of the LEDs in the sign;</li></ul></li><li>Produce the documents for the components that must be manufactured using computer assistance (CNC);</li><li>Ensure accuracy of dimensions, and ease of use and understanding of technical designs;</li><li>Collaborate with the manufacturing and estimating team to validate design drawings and confirm manufacturing methods;</li><li>Questions manufacturing methods by optimizing structural components while not compromising on safety;</li><li>Always seeking improved manufacturing methods to improve competitiveness;</li><li>Produce drawings according to standards, specifications, and engineering requirements of customers;</li><li>Be able to work autonomously with little supervision to produce quality, drawings that are efficient and cost effective to build and maintain structural safety after installation;</li><li>Must ensure that all drawings produced in the department are updated to ensure compliance;</li><li>Must attend "Job Meeting" meetings with the Project Manager and the production team to clarify certain details for the production.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Have a college diploma in graphic design or equivalent;</li><li>Extensive knowledge of CorelDraw, AutoCAD, and other design software, etc.;</li><li>Appropriate knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint);</li><li>Ability to work in French and English;</li><li>Social skills and ability to work in a team or independently;</li><li>Organizational skills, problem solving and ability to meet deadlines when required;</li><li>Excellent ability to read <span >plans/measurements/structures</span>;</li><li>Ability to adapt to change.</li></ul><p></p><p>We prefer someone with social skills as they will be communicating with their co-workers.
