<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>POSITION TITLE:</strong>Physiotherapist</p><p><strong>PROGRAM:</strong>Long-Term Care</p><p><strong>LOCATION:</strong>Port Dover, ON</p><p><strong>STATUS:</strong>Contractor</p><p><strong>HOURS:</strong>4-5 hours per week</p><p><strong>REMUNERATION:</strong>Competitive</p><p><strong>This position is only open to those legally entitled to work in Canada.</strong></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>We require a skilled Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to Residents in select Long-Term Care Homes in Port Dover, Ontario.</p><p>You will be responsible for <span >providingassessments</span> and serving as a resource and educator to the Homes staff and Residents/Families regarding equipment <span >recommendations.You</span> can look forward to our competitive compensation package, which reflects how we value your background, experience, education, and commitment to clinical excellence.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide assessments, implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in the areas of seating and positioning, equipment use and safety, and strategies to improve function</li><li>Provide in-house staff education sessions on topics such as adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for staff injury prevention, as required</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Registrant in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario or College of Physiotherapists of Ontario</li><li>Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire</li><li>Up-to-date on required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak), MMR, DTaP, varicella, and TB skin test</li><li><span >Knowledge/experience</span> in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice, with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes</li><li>Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills</li><li>Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Desirable skills and experience include previous delivery of Physiotherapy Services for the geriatric population in an integrated care setting, preferably in a Long-Term Care Home.
