The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and managing a range of ocular conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and promoting long-term eye health and preventive care.</p><p>This position requires a commitment of 2–3 days per week, with approximately 3 hours of clinical availability per day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.</p><p><br />Duties:<br />- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients&#39; vision and eye health.<br />- Diagnose and treat visual problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.<br />- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed.<br />- Monitor and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.<br />- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.<br />- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams.<br />- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.</p><p><br />Qualifications:<br />- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.<br />- Valid state optometry license.<br />- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry.<br />- Experience in patient care with a focus on senior care, pediatrics, and optical sales.<br />- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems like Epic.</p><p><br />Nice-to-Have Skills:<br />- Familiarity with a wide range of optical products and services.<br />- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.<br />- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br />Join our team as an Optometrist and make a difference in the lives of our patients by providing top-notch eye care services.
