As a Maintenance Assistant you will play a critical role in keeping our facilities running smoothly and looking their best! Successful candidates can expect to earn up to $30 per hour.</p><p><strong>Why join our Shift?</strong></p><p><ul><li>Competitive compensation plans and employer-matched RRSP</li><li>Industry-leading benefits including health, dental, orthodontics, paramedical services and Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Benefits</li><li>Employee travel rewards, so you can travel on us, starting at 5 years!</li><li>A people-centric environment, where doing the right thing and providing exceptional service come first.</li><li>Opportunity for growth and advancement within the organization via training and continuous improvement</li><li>Support from management and other team members to help you succeed.</li><li>A stable, family-owned business that has been part of the community for over 30 years!</li></ul></p><p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p><p><ul><li>Respond to incoming service tickets from various locations in a timely manner</li><li>Perform general building maintenance and repairs such as electrical, plumbing, painting, patching walls, and hanging shelves</li><li>Troubleshoot facility equipment issues to determine necessary repairs</li><li>Assess repair projects for required supplies and equipment</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and door locks</li><li>Maintain property appearance by removing garbage, mowing lawns, landscaping and snow removal</li><li>Perform other duties and tasks as required</li></ul></p><p><strong>Ideal Requirements:</strong></p><p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance positions where you were required to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.</li><li>Able to operate equipment such as a riding lawn mower, skid steer, payloader, and telehandler, as well as pull various trailers with a pickup truck</li><li>Formal training in operating a payloader, telehandler, or skid steer is preferred.</li><li>Formal training in HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems or related fields is an asset.</li><li>Able to maintain a professional demeanour and appearance while working at our customer’s locations</li><li>Able to perform physically demanding work, which includes standing, walking, crouching and the ability to lift 50 lbs</li><li>The ability and willingness to travel to locations outside of Lethbridge</li><li>Available to work at varying times, dependent on the work that needs to be completed</li><li>A Valid Driver’s License and a clean 3-year drivers abstract</li><li>3 years of verifiable insurance driving with a clean insurance record</li></ul></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
