<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Job Description-Kitchen Assistant</strong></p><p>SimplySmart Child Care Centre & Montessori is looking for a mature person to work in the Kitchen Assistant/staff role at their Oakville- Iroquois location (QEW and Trafalgar) to help serve meals and cover lunches. We are a childcare facility focused on a clean and safe environment for the children. The individual would be required to prepare snacks for breakfast & afternoon snack.</p><p><strong>Why choose SimpySmart?</strong></p><ul><li> A dynamic organization that gives you the ability to grow and learn every day.</li><li> Medical and dental benefits.</li><li> Friendly team-oriented work environment</li><li> Closed on the weekends</li></ul><p><strong>The Kitchen Coordinator will be responsible for the following:</strong></p><ul><li> Helping prepare breakfast & snacks and covering lunches in the classroom</li><li> Serving catered lunches</li><li> Cleaning-up the kitchen and meals & utensils</li><li> Ensuring Allergy and restriction requirements are met</li><li> Keeping accurate records as per Halton Health & Ministry of Education</li><li> Helping the center with ordering for needed food and kitchen items</li><li> Helping with the classroom when required & covering the teachers when required</li><li> Removing trash from the facility</li><li> Mopping kitchen floors & facility floors</li><li> Monthly duties include cleaning the inside of the oven and the microwave.</li><li> Wiping down the inside of the refrigerator & Freezer & cleaning behind the dishwashers</li></ul><p><strong>We are looking for someone who wants a consistent job with consistent hours and has:</strong></p><ul><li> the ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li> ability to work well with others</li><li> a food handling certificate</li><li> up to date Immunizations based on childcare regulations & TB test based on Ministry of Education requirements for childcare</li><li> a Criminal reference check based on Ministry of Education requirements for childcare</li><li>Experience working in a kitchen</li><li> Experience working with multiple allergies</li><li> High school diploma</li><li> able to carry 25 pounds</li><li> stand for extended periods of time</li></ul><p> Salary is $18.00/hr to $19.00/hr</p></p></p>
