<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Propak Systems Ltd.</strong> is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking <strong>Journeyman</strong> <strong>Crane Operators </strong>to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.</p><p>We offer day, evening and weekend shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. If you are a looking to grow with a company who values work-life balance this may be the position for you. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials.</li><li>Drive the crane to the job site.</li><li>Rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation).</li><li>Set up the machine for the lift (make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.</li><li>Booms (including telescoping booms and articulating booms possessing live lines) capable of swinging, hoisting and booming up and down with a lifting capacity of greater than 5 tons (4.5 tonnes) and less than 45 tons (40.8 tons).</li><li>Service and operate travelling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.</li><li>Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul></ul><ul><li>Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.</li><li>Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.</li><li>1-2 years of directly related work experience.</li><li>As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.</li><li>This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong><strong>Propak Systems Ltd. </strong>thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p><em>No Phone Calls Please</em></p></p></p>
