<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Job Title: Estimator – ICI & Residential Construction</strong><br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Hamilton, ON<br><br><strong>Salary:</strong> $80,000 – $110,000, commensurate with experience<br><br><strong>Company:</strong> SSA Group – On behalf of our General Contractor Client<br /> Our client, a well-established <strong>General Contractor</strong> based in <strong>Hamilton</strong>, is seeking a talented <strong>Estimator</strong> with experience in both <strong>ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial)</strong> and <strong>residential construction</strong> to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects with a collaborative and forward-thinking company.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br /><ul><li>Prepare accurate estimates for new construction, renovations, and design-build projects across the ICI and residential sectors</li><li>Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and requirements</li><li>Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop pricing for all construction divisions</li><li>Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing</li><li>Prepare bid submissions and assist in project handoff to construction teams</li><li>Participate in pre-construction meetings and support value engineering initiatives</li></ul><strong>Requirements:</strong><br /><ul><li><strong>Minimum 5 years of experience</strong> as an <strong>Estimator</strong> with a <strong>General Contractor in Ontario</strong></li><li>Proven experience estimating <strong>both ICI and residential projects</strong></li><li>Strong knowledge of local construction methods, building codes, and market pricing</li><li>Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff)</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills</li></ul><strong>Compensation:</strong><br /><ul><li><strong>Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000</strong>, based on experience and qualifications</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career advancement</li></ul><strong>To Apply:</strong><br /> Send your <strong>resume and project list</strong> to <strong>Jamal Grant</strong> at <strong><span >jamal.grant@ssaltd.com</span></strong>.<br /> Only candidates with relevant Ontario-based general contracting experience will be contacted.</p></p>
