<p><strong>Operations Manager</strong></p><p>Our client, a well-established trailer rental company, is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in South/West Etobicoke.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the day-to-day operations of the team with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Act quickly and decisively to troubleshoot operational issues and customer concerns, ensuring timely resolutions.</li><li>Provide necessary leadership and guidance to the team to ensure safe and successful daily operations are executed </li><li>Carry out the mission, vision, and values of the company as they pertain to the operation </li><li>Serve as primary contact for all customer-related issues related to equipment quality, client service with team members, accidents, mishaps onsite, and necessary repairs. </li><li>Work successfully with cross-functional partners within the business, notably Sales, Maintenance and Construction</li><li>Create and successfully adhere to annual budgets in cohesion with company goals </li><li>Accountable for key performance indicators assigned to the Operations Department; reporting directly to the President </li><li>Manage day-to-day logistics for fleet movement</li><li>Manage the delivery and pick-up of trailers for special events.</li><li>Coordinate the pick-up and drop-off of all fleet units for maintenance, repairs, and operational needs.</li><li>Move and manage units between different lots and company locations, ensuring accurate tracking and condition oversight.</li><li>Supervise and coordinate activities of service technicians, cleaners, and admin staff.</li><li>Monitor and optimize team performance, workload distribution, and work schedules.</li><li>Participate in leadership and cross-functional meetings to support company-wide initiatives.</li><li>Proactively address service issues and resolve customer concerns with urgency and professionalism.</li><li>Coach, mentor, and support technicians to meet service standards and follow best practices.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement across service processes, safety protocols, and team collaboration.</li><li>Support employee development through certifications, regular coaching, and growth planning.</li><li>Foster a safety-first culture through personal accountability and effective team communication.</li><li>Collaborate interdepartmentally to ensure efficient coordination of fleet servicing and client needs.</li><li>Oversee preventive maintenance planning and ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.</li><li>Partner with HR to recruit, hire, and onboard new team staff.</li><li>Participate in employee evaluations, job description reviews, and performance improvement discussions.</li><li>Contribute to the implementation of training programs and individual development plans.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Skill and Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent is required</li><li>Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean driving record.</li><li>Minimum 8 years of operations experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.</li><li>Proven leadership and team management experience.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage change and lead continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Familiarity with fleet maintenance operations; RV or HVAC experience is a strong asset.</li><li>Comfortable working with basic hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on team development and employee engagement.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to lead, support, and motivate diverse teams.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).</li><li>Customer-focused mindset with a high attention to detail.</li></ul>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
