<p><h3>Company Description</h3><p>The Estevan Chamber of Commerce is a diversified, member-driven network of businesses striving to improve the business climate and community well-being. As the voice of Estevan’s business community, the Chamber provides its members with a direct line of communication to municipal, provincial, and federal political leaders. They are committed to fostering growth in the community and working for the benefit of their members.</p>
<h3>Position Summary</h3>
<p>The Executive Director is accountable to the Board of Directors, providing executive leadership to the Estevan Chamber of Commerce. The role involves offering direction to achieve the Chamber’s mission and objectives, acting as a liaison among members, the Board, staff, volunteers, government, and partners. Responsibilities include overseeing programs and services, membership growth and retention, budgeting, daily operations, and community and public relations.</p>
<p>This is a parental leave term for 18 months.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ol>
<li>Collaborate with the Board to develop and implement short-term and long-term objectives based on the 2026 Strategic Plan.</li>
<li>Oversee Chamber finances, including accurate financial reporting, cash flow management, and budget statements.</li>
<li>Develop and present an annual budget for the Chamber’s operations, detailing projected revenues, expenses, and net profit, with Board approval.</li>
<li>Manage the daily operations of the Chamber, including program management, staffing, membership, marketing efforts, and attending Board meetings.</li>
<li>Oversee Chamber staff management, including hiring, performance reviews, salary and benefits administration, and general supervision.</li>
<li>Lead and develop the Chamber’s fundraising strategies and capital campaigns, identifying and developing revenue generation programs and events.</li>
<li>Work with the President to prepare agendas and materials for Board of Directors meetings.</li>
<li>Implement a marketing plan to ensure a positive community image of the Chamber.</li>
<li>Serve as the principal spokesperson and ambassador for the Chamber at business and community events.</li>
<li>Build and maintain partnerships with other organizations and neighboring chambers.</li>
<li>Oversee the organization of Chamber events such as Business Summit, EBEX, Coffee Talk, AGM, and All-Candidates Forums.</li>
<li>Operate within the Chamber’s bylaws and policies, advancing the Chamber’s mission.</li>
<li>Lead membership relations, growth, and retention efforts, including communication through newsletters, networking activities, website updates, and social media posts.</li>
<li>Maintain open communication with the Board, collaborating in governance and promptly addressing issues.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the City of Estevan and RM of Estevan, scheduling regular meetings with the Chamber President.</li>
<li>Advocate for the Chamber at provincial events, provide letters of support, and understand current issues to advance the city's economic welfare.</li>
<li>Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.</li>

<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong leadership skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.</li>
<li>Highly motivated self-starter who works well with limited supervision.</li>
<li>Organized, efficient, resourceful, and dependable.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Strong public speaking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among Board members, staff, Chamber members, community leaders, elected officials, and strategic committees and organizations.</li>
<li>Executive and supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, leading, delegating, and monitoring.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage budgets, analyze organizational performance, and project financial performance.</li>
<li>Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis of proposed ideas, projects, and events.</li>
<li>Proficiency in major office computer programs, social media apps, and website management.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the Southeast Saskatchewan business area preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with business associations, economic development offices, or non-profit associations is an asset.</li>
<li>University degree in business administration, communications, marketing, economic development, or a related field, or relevant work experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of 4 years of management experience in a related field.</li>
