<p><p>ETL Developer / Finance Systems Data Engineer with solid experience in the insurance industry and expertise in ETL and PostgreSQL development to join our dynamic team.</p>

<h3>What You'll Do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Informatica Power Center) processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our finance systems.</li>
<li>Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures in PostgreSQL.</li>
<li>Monitor daily/monthly jobs and resolve failures.</li>
<li>Collaborate with finance and insurance teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and accuracy.</li>
<li>Build Qlik reports.</li>
<li>Perform data analysis and solve data-related issues.</li>
<li>Implement data quality checks and validation processes.</li>
<li>Provide solutions by building complex Finance calculations using PostgreSQL stored procedures or ETL.</li>
<li>Monitor and improve the performance of ETL processes and database systems.</li>
<li>Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and database schemas.</li>
<li>Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL and database management.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What You'll Bring</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in the insurance industry and ability to understand underwriting data terminology.</li>
<li>Experience in supporting finance systems.</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience as an ETL Developer (Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica BDM).</li>
<li>Experience as a PostgreSQL Developer.</li>
<li>Proven experience as a Database Developer, hands-on experience in writing DDLs and DMLs for relational databases.</li>
<li>Experience in writing complex SQL queries for ad hoc reporting.</li>
<li>Expertise in ETL tools (especially Informatica) and PostgreSQL.</li>
<li>Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and database design.</li>
<li>Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.</li>
<li>Experience with automation tools like Control-M, UNIX scripting experience.</li>
<li>Experience in Qlik & Python reporting (nice to have).</li>
<li>Experience with Snowflake (nice to have).</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Experience in Agile methodology & JIRA.</li>
<li>Good communication and collaboration skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.</li>
<li>Experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, MySQL). SQL Associate Certification an asset.</li>
<li>Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Python, Power BI) an asset.</li>
