Our portfolio includes schools, healthcare facilities, government buildings, and other public sector developments ranging from $5M to $50M in value. With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and client satisfaction, we are looking to grow our team with an experienced and motivated <strong>Senior Estimator</strong>.</p><hr /><strong>Role Overview:</strong><p>The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for institutional construction projects. This role plays a critical part in the pre-construction phase, ensuring that proposals are well-prepared and aligned with client expectations and company goals. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver high-quality bids and proposals.</p><hr /><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li><p>Prepare detailed estimates and budgets for institutional construction projects (schools, healthcare, government, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates</p></li><li><p>Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing</p></li><li><p>Conduct risk assessments and identify cost-saving opportunities</p></li><li><p>Prepare and present tender submissions, proposals, and pre-construction documentation</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with project teams, owners, and consultants during pre-construction and value engineering phases</p></li><li><p>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and construction practices in the GTA</p></li><li><p>Lead and mentor junior estimators and support staff as required</p></li></ul><hr /><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul><li><p>7+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor, ideally focused on institutional or ICI projects</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes in Ontario</p></li><li><p>Experience working on projects valued between $5M–$50M</p></li><li><p>Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, WinEst, or equivalent) and MS Excel</p></li><li><p>Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field</p></li></ul></p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
