This department delivers value engineering and innovative solutions, including the implementation of design-build projects.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Position Overview</u></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trenchless and shoring operations, with a proven track record in estimating and coordinating complex construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Key Responsibilities</u></p><p>· Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for underground construction projects, including horizontal directional drilling, shoring, and related operations.</p><p>· Project Coordination: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications.</p><p>· Client Liaison: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.</p><p>· Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to management on financial performance.</p><p>· Technical Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to assess feasibility and identify potential challenges.</p><p>· Procurement: Source materials, equipment, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.</p><p>· Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Qualifications</u></p><p>· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating and project coordination within the construction industry, with specific expertise in trenchless and shoring operations.</p><p>· Education: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</p><p>· Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Hard Dollar, Bid2Win, or similar), MS Office, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).</p><p>· Knowledge: Strong understanding of underground construction techniques, shoring systems, and geotechnical principles.</p><p>· Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p><p>· Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
