<h3>Emergent/Urgent Care Family Physician (200-1281)</h3><p>Reference Number: 200-1281</p><p>This job opportunity offers rewarding small town Emergency/Urgent care work in a collegial setting within a modern facility featuring a fully electronic medical record and First Net triage system. The practitioner will collaborate with an inter-professional healthcare team to provide culturally safe urgent care to patients on-site at Chemainus Urgent Care Centre.</p><p><b>Mandatory qualifications:</b> current Advanced Trauma Life Support certification or CARE course, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification, and at least one Pediatric Advanced Life Support course.</p><p>The physician must be comfortable managing minor injuries and medical conditions, and familiar with procedures including cardioversion, intubation, and casting.</p><p><b>Start Date:</b> As soon as possible.</p><p><b>Additional Information:</b> Full-time or part-time positions available. May be eligible for additional remuneration according to the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change):</p><ul><li>Recruitment Incentive: up to $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)</li><li>Relocation: up to $15,000 (based on relocation distance)</li><li>Flat fee: $6,373.80</li><li>Fee Premium: 4.20%</li><li>CME: $2,200/year (years 3-4), $4,400/year after 4 years in the community</li></ul><p>Chemainus is a picturesque artisan village nestled between mountains and ocean on the Cowichan coast. Located 30 minutes south of Nanaimo and one hour north of Victoria, it features a single doctor's office above a pharmacy across from the UCC and LTC facility.
