We are actively searching for several experienced, hard-working employees with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the positions of DZ Truck Driver in our Athens, Pembroke and Arnprior divisions. These full-time seasonal positions are from September 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with the potential to extend and will be based on a 3-4 days per week schedule which may include occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call as required. </p><p><strong>WHAT&#39;S IN IT FOR YOU:</strong></p><ul><li>$30.35 per hour to start.</li><li>Fully paid training.</li><li>Paid overtime after 44 hours.</li><li>Quarterly safety and yearly performance bonuses.</li><li>No charge for uniforms, including winter jackets and rain suits.</li><li>Vacation Pay: Entitled to 6% of total wages paid bi-weekly.</li><li>Matching RRSP program from day one.</li><li>Opportunities to learn & grow and be paid more as you increase your skills and responsibilities.</li></ul><p><strong>IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure safe and timely delivery of petroleum products to commercial and residential customers.</li><li>Perform day shifts during the workweek and occasionally on weekends as part of the compensated on-call schedule.</li><li>Ensure accurate record-keeping, including product delivery, maintenance of logbooks, and transportation of dangerous goods reports.</li><li>Assist with the delivery and set-up of customer skid tanks when required. </li><li>Perform mandatory circle checks, and maintain the truck, cab, uniform and work location clean.</li><li>Along with performing mandatory circle checks, maintain the cleanliness of the truck, cab, and work location.</li><li>Share all pertinent information with dispatch, including improvement suggestions for safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Assist with the delivery of lubricants and other products and equipment, when required.</li><li>Adhere to all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles.</li><li>Perform other duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong>WHAT WE&#39;RE LOOKING FOR:</strong></p><p>Education and Experience Required:</p><ul><li>Valid DZ certification is required.</li><li>Minimum of (3) years post-certification driving required.</li><li>Experience driving liquid bulk is desirable.</li><li>Fuel haulage and/or delivery experience is highly desirable.</li><li>PM3, PM4, or PMH licenses are considered an asset.</li><li>Forklift and Boom Truck experience is an asset.</li><li>Mechanical inclination is required.</li><li>Must possess a clean &#39;abstract&#39; and acceptable CVOR.</li></ul><p>Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Positive and humble attitude.</li><li>Demonstrates a safety-first approach to the role.</li><li>Must always present a professional image. </li><li>A willingness to participate in training is essential.</li></ul><p>Other:</p><ul><li>Local geographical knowledge is required.</li><li>Must always conform to the requirements of Ministry of Transportation regulations.</li><li>Ability to work autonomously and responsibly within a small and cohesive team.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work in all-weather situations.</li><li>Ability to lift to 50 pounds; position requires frequent bending and moving heavy loads.</li><li>Ability to work evenings and weekends, on occasion.</li><li>Out-of-town travel may be required.</li><li>Willingness to be cross-trained in delivering multiple products, equipment, etc.</li></ul><p>If you are passionate about driving, safety, and delivering exceptional service to customers, we’d love to hear from you!</p><p><strong>Apply Today!</strong></p><p><strong>WHY JOIN THE MACEWEN TEAM?</strong></p><ul><li>Supportive colleagues and leaders who are passionate about providing exceptional service.</li><li>Learn and collaborate with the best in the industry.</li><li>“The perks” include employee gym membership reimbursement, discounts on motor fuel at our service stations, equipment purchases and heating oil.</li></ul><p>Before an offer of employment is extended, a minimum of two business references will be required and candidates must complete pre-employment testing which comprises a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.</p><p>Please notify Human Resources if you wish to receive this job posting in a different format or if you require any other accommodations during the recruitment process.</p><p>We are an equal-opportunity employer.
