We honour the dignity and uniqueness of each person through our core values of <em>Care, Connection </em>and<em> Excellence.</em></p><br /><p><strong>What we are hiring for:</strong></p><p>We are currently hiring multiple part-time <strong>Direct Support Professionals</strong> for our locations across Lambton County. Direct Support Professionals make a difference in people&#39;s lives by:</p><ul><li>Providing support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community</li><li>Teaching and assisting with daily supports (ex. assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication administration, appointments, housekeeping responsibilities and money management)</li><li>Facilitating opportunities for individual skill development, independence, personal growth, cultivating relationships in their community and leisure activities as directed by the person</li></ul><br /><p><strong>We provide supports in:</strong> Alvinston, Brigden, Corunna, Forest, Petrolia, Sarnia, Oil City, Oil Springs, Watford and Wyoming. </p><p>We are also accepting applications for one-to-one support through <strong>Passport.</strong></p><br /><p><strong>What you will need:</strong></p><ul><li>Valid "G or G2" class license and reliable vehicle</li><li>Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check</li><li>Be legally entitled to work in Canada</li><li>Current certification in First Aid/CPR required</li><li>Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain</li><li>Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset</li></ul><br /><p><strong>Compensation and scheduling:</strong></p><ul><li>$23.33 - $24.02 per hour based on experience</li><li>Part-time - multiple rotations available</li><li>Scheduled a mixture of days, afternoons, and weekends</li><li>Opportunities to pick up additional hours</li></ul><br /><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Group Pension Plan with Employer Contribution Matching</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Corporate Retail and Mobility Discounts</li><li>Training and Development Opportunities</li></ul><br /><p><strong>About LCDS:</strong></p><p>Lambton County Developmental Services started back in 1955 when a group of parents whose children with developmental disabilities came together while dreaming of a life without limitation for their loved ones.
