Join our growing team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and put your expertise to work in a supportive, dynamic environment!</p><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><li>Permanent, full-time position</li><li>Competitive hourly wage: $31–$35/hr (based on experience)</li><li>Day shift, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)</li><li>Full group insurance benefits (100% employer-covered after 3 months)</li><li>Pension plan with 5% employer contribution</li><li>2 weeks vacation (flexible; negotiable)</li><li>Company-provided uniforms and tools (boot allowance included)</li><li>Supportive and collaborative work environment</li><li>Salary reviews based on performance</li></ul><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><p>As a <b>Licensed Automotive Mechanic</b>, you will:</p><ul><li>Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and industrial equipment</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues</li><li>Conduct oil changes, brake work, tire changes, and general preventive maintenance</li><li>Complete <b>Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI)</b> and pre/post-sale inspections</li><li>Conduct frame and powertrain checks to ensure vehicles meet safety standards</li><li>Maintain accurate work documentation and follow safety procedures</li><li>Mentor and support apprentice technicians</li><li>Assist with sourcing parts and preparing customer quotes</li><li>Keep the workshop organized, clean, and safe</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><ul><li>Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification (or equivalent)</li><li>Minimum 2–3 years relevant experience (newly licensed candidates considered)</li><li>Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills</li><li>Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems (an asset)</li><li>Attention to detail and ability to work independently</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset</li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li>MVI license (an asset)</li><li>5+ years experience</li><li>Experience mentoring apprentices</li><li>Comfortable using basic computer tools and smartphones</li></ul><h3>You Are</h3><ul><li>KNowledgeable and experienced</li><li>Reliable and dependable</li><li>Detail-oriented and quality-driven</li><li>Safety-conscious</li><li>Organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Motivated and self-starting</li></ul><p><b>Ready to Apply?</b> For immediate consideration, email your resume to Cheryl Revibes at crevibes@fuzehr.com.</p><p><b>#OPSK</b></p></p>
