<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>About the Position: </strong></p><p>Currently, Technica is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our growing team as a <strong>421A Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic </strong>in <strong>Mine Development. </strong>There is currently one (1) open position in <strong>Timmins, Ontario</strong> to support our long-term, development project. We are actively seeking to fill this role. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on underground mobile mining equipment (e.g., scoop trams, jumbos, haul trucks, bolters, etc.)</li><li>Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with OEM and safety standards</li><li>Conduct pre-operational inspections and perform routine equipment checks in accordance with underground safety protocols</li><li>Test repaired equipment in-field and/or in-shop to verify proper functionality and adherence to manufacturer specifications</li><li>Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance logs, both underground and on surface</li><li>Source and order necessary parts, tools, and materials to complete repair tasks efficiently</li><li>Follow daily maintenance line-ups and prioritize work based on equipment criticality and production needs</li><li>Operate within the confines of underground environments, adhering strictly to site safety policies, mine regulations, and environmental procedures</li><li>Collaborate with shift supervisors, underground operators, and other trades to minimize downtime and maintain production targets</li><li>Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment and tools to support advanced troubleshooting</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification is required </li><li>Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, & U00012) or equivalent provincial designation is preferred</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years' underground experience is preferred</li><li>Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment</li><li>Strong technical aptitude to use digital platforms used for work orders, email, etc. </li><li>High level of self-motivation and autonomy</li><li>Ability to work as a team and independently in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment</li><li>Familiar with CAT, Epiroc, and/or MacLean equipment is preferred </li></ul><p><strong>Why Choose Technica?</strong></p><p>Working at Technica means choosing a safe environment where no one employee is more important than the other, and where we prioritize people over projects.
